The Evolution of Creating Juniper

Sep 9
6 min read

I have never edited my website so many times in a single year.

Honestly, I’m not even sure it’s complete - there's still 3 more months left in 2026.

A sentence changes.

A page gets rewritten.

An offering moves.

A new piece gets added.

Something that made perfect sense three months ago suddenly doesn’t fit anymore.

I rearrange the homepage. Rewrite the About section. Change how I describe what I do. Add something. Remove something. Put something back.

And somewhere in the middle of yet another website edit, I realized:

The website isn’t the thing that keeps changing.

I am.

Or maybe more accurately, I’m finally allowing Creating Juniper to change with me.

Creating Juniper Didn’t Begin in 2026

Creating Juniper has existed for years.

Before that, there was FireLillie Design and my work as a graphic designer.

There has been jewellery.

There has been writing.

There has been spiritual study.

There have been courses, teachers, mentors, books, practices and communities.

There have been years of studying history, mythology, psychology, philosophy and spirituality—not because I was necessarily trying to build a business out of any of it, but because I have always been deeply curious about why we are the way we are.

There have been Akashic Records.

Intentional practices.

Seasonal rituals.

Conversations about identity, healing, creation and what it means to actually

live what we say we believe.

There have been things I tried that worked.

Things I tried that didn’t.

Things I outgrew.

Things I carried forward.

And a whole lot of life lived between them.

Creating Juniper wasn’t suddenly created this year.

2026 is simply the year I stopped perpetually preparing for it.

For a Long Time, I Was Gathering

I have spent a lot of years learning.

And I don’t regret those years.

I needed them.

I needed teachers.

I needed tools.

I needed spaces where I could explore ideas that were new to me.

I needed experiences that challenged what I thought I knew.

I needed time to question what I had been taught, experiment with what resonated, discard what didn’t and discover what remained.

Little by little, the things I was learning stopped being things I was simply consuming.

They became things I was living.

And somewhere along the way, the relationship changed.

I wasn’t standing at the beginning anymore asking:

What else do I need to learn before I’m ready?

I was standing in the middle of a life filled with things I had learned, practiced, questioned, created, and embodied.

The invitation became something entirely different:

What are you going to do with all of it?

And Apparently, the Answer Was: Change My Website 900 Times

Okay, maybe not 900.

But some days it has felt like it.

Every time Creating Juniper became clearer, the website stopped fitting.

So I changed it.

Then I became clearer again.

And changed it again.

At first, I thought I was struggling to define my business.

Now I think I was watching myself stop trying to make it fit into a definition that was too small.

Because what exactly is Creating Juniper?

Is it intentional jewelry?

Yes.

Is it Akashic Records readings?

Yes.

Is it seasonal containers like Coming Into Focus and The Sacred Unraveling?

Yes.

Is it helping someone bring their book from a manuscript into something they can hold in their hands?

Apparently, yes to that too.

Is it writing, teaching, creating, facilitating and making beautiful things with meaning woven through them?

Also yes.

For a while, I thought those things needed to make sense beside each other before I could claim them all.

Now I understand that I am the thread connecting them.

The Ecosystem of Creating Juniper

Maybe that's what I've actually been building all along.

Not a collection of separate offerings that somehow need to be made to fit together.

An ecosystem.

Each part of Creating Juniper has its own purpose, its own rhythm and its own way of meeting people.

Some of the work is seasonal.

Some is available year-round.

Some happens in community.

Some happens one-on-one.

Some is deeply reflective.

Some is tangible—something you can literally hold in your hands.

And yet none of it feels separate to me.

The seasonal containers hold space for reflection, release, intention and becoming.

The Akashic Records create another doorway into listening, questioning and remembering.

Intentional jewelry takes something meaningful and gives it physical form.

Book Doula work helps someone take a story or idea that has lived inside them and bring it into the world as something real.

My writing gives me a place to explore the questions and ideas running underneath all of it.

Different expressions.

Different doorways.

Same ecosystem.

And the more I stopped trying to make Creating Juniper fit neatly into one category, the more clearly I could see what connected everything.

I am interested in what something means.

Why it matters.

What wants to be expressed.

What is ready to be released.

What is ready to become tangible.

And how we create something that actually belongs to the person creating it.

That thread has been there much longer than I realized.

Creating Juniper didn't need me to choose which part of it was the "real" business.

It needed enough room for all of those pieces to exist together.

Maybe the Constant Editing Wasn’t Indecision

I think this is the part I understand differently now.

It would be easy to look at how many times I have changed Creating Juniper this year and assume I didn’t know what I was doing.

But I don't think that's what happened.

I think I stopped forcing myself to keep an old version simply because I had already built it.

I let the business respond to what I was discovering.

I let an offering change when it needed to change.

I let something disappear when it no longer belonged.

I followed unexpected opportunities.

I paid attention to what people were asking me for.

I noticed what I loved doing.

I noticed what drained me.

I noticed the places where I was still hiding pieces of what I knew how to do because I wasn’t sure they “belonged.”

And slowly, Creating Juniper started becoming less like a business I was trying to construct and more like an ecosystem that actually reflected me.

That required a ridiculous number of website edits.

But it also required something much harder:

Permission to evolve publicly.

There Is No Final Version

Maybe that is the biggest thing this year has taught me.

I kept thinking I was going to finish Creating Juniper.

Finish the website.

Finish the offers.

Finish the systems.

Get everything organized and finally arrive at the version that would stay put.

There are absolutely pieces I want to complete.

There are systems I want streamlined.

There is infrastructure I am building so that I don't have to reinvent everything every season.

But I don't think I want Creating Juniper to become something static.

Because I'm not static.

The work isn't static.

Life isn't static.

There will be things I haven't thought of yet.

There will be conversations I haven't had.

There will be skills I haven't developed.

There will be ideas that arrive unexpectedly and make me say,

Oh, Apparently we're doing this now.

And there will probably be another website edit shortly afterward.

This Is What Creating Juniper Is Becoming

Not a perfectly polished final destination.

Not proof that I have everything figured out.

And not a collection of random things I happen to know how to do.

Creating Juniper is becoming the place where the things I have spent years learning, creating, questioning and embodying finally have somewhere to live together.

An ecosystem where one piece can feed another.

Where something can grow.

Where something else can go dormant for a season.

Where new things can emerge without requiring everything else to disappear.

Some of those things are old.

Some are new.

Some are still becoming.

And for the first time, I don't feel like I need to choose one piece and make it represent the whole.

I can let the whole thing breathe.

I can let it grow.

I can let myself grow.

Thank you for being along for the ride and as we say in the PLT, "How good can this get?"

Or in Fully Sourced, "What else is possible?"

Always,

Juniper
